Welcome to Stanhope Show

The annual Stanhope Show is County Durham's premier agricultural show. A traditional Dales agricultural show where visitors can browse a wonderful display of the finest livestock, produce and crafts that the Durham Dales have to offer. The show is held on the second weekend in September in the picturesque surrounds of Unthank Park.

Terriers & Lurchers

The countryman's companion visit on Sunday to see our Terrier and Lurcher classes.  In 2018 take part in the "Little Nippers Terrier & Lurcher Show" and see the hilarious antics as pet Labradors and Cockapoos chase the lure.

Walworth Castle Birds of Prey

Every country show needs Birds of Prey and we are happy to welcome regular exhibitors, Walworth Caste Birds of Prey back to Stanhope. 

Live Music Festival

"Stanhope Music Festival" is becoming a huge attraction with live music in the beer tent on Saturday and Sunday evening.

Enjoy shopping from our beautiful, original trade stands, craft marquee and food market. Many hand-made, not on the high street items.

Whatever you fancy our diverse catering outlets can provide for your tastes.  Afternoon tea? No problem. Hog roast? Of course...and don't forget the licensed bar.

Spectacular Main Arena

The line up for 2018 is really taking shape.  The international Kangaroo Kid is confirmed. The hilarious Little Nippers Terrier & Lurcher roadshow is welcoming your dog into the arena on Sunday.

  1. This is one if not the best country show in the NE/Durham areas,Every year it has spectacular events from fly past to Motorcycle Daredevils,and not to be missed Dogs,Horses,Birds of Prey,Tractors ,Engines,Wrestling oh and the list goes on……….
